UPDATES

I will update this website whenever something new is released. Stay checking the website, especially around April 15th, for full details on Online multiplayer.

Single Player Campaign

What most Wii First-Person-Shooters lack is a Hardcore and interesting Single Player Campaign. Not one First-Person-Shooter for the Wii so far has impressed me with their single player. However, The Conduit is coming fairly soon.

Even though I have yet to play this game like video game developers and analysts have had the chance to do, I can already tell from reading multiple reviews and seeing many video previews that this is going to be non-stop action packed.

The first thing I noticed which will interest me is a Drudge object found by Mr. Ford (The main character) called the All Seeing Eye (ASE). The All Seeing Eye in this game is used to de-code Drudge language written around various places to help you beast through Campaign and help the world come to safety. It is also used for different puzzles which are placed around the game. This will definately keep me into the game. It's not just shooting objectives, it's also solving puzzles, as well as finding your best way to defeat the Drudge and the conduits (portals) which exist around the maps.

The second thing I noticed was the intelligent AI. I noticed that while attacking them, they respond intelligently by taking cover behind objects and choosing the best times to pop out and attack you. This is very different from past FPS' on the Wii where the enemies just stand still in the middle of the area firing three-burst-shots. This will keep the game challenging.

Also from what I have heard (credit DarkShadowRage), Headshots as well as kills for each weapon will be tallied and recorded throughout single player. It is also rumored that these single player stats will be used to unlock certain bonuses in online gameplay. Stay tuned to this post to see if this is ever confirmed.

Overall, The Conduit Single player has recieved many awards for the Wii because of it's XBOX 360-type graphics, and many other aspects. What is keeping me interested the most though is the setting of the game - Washington D.C. It will be very hardcore and exciting playing in a real-life setting.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Multiplayer

The Wi-Fi aspect of Nintendo Wii is quickly becoming the biggest part of a game when players are deciding which game to buy. The Wi-Fi connection has evolved and become an important part of First-person-Shooters, classic Nintendo games, etc.

The Conduit is a highly hyped Wi-Fi compatible game being released in June. It also brings about the first ever FPS on the Wii to use Wii Speak.

Not much has been confirmed for The Conduit's online play aspect, but this bit has:

-16 person online multiplayer (HVS' goal, has not been confirmed)
-Wii Speak compatible (No info on whether Friend Codes will be needed for Wii Speak)
-No Wii Motion Plus
-7 Online Modes (Only Deathmatch and Capture the Flag have been confirmed)
-No perks, classes, etc. (This is not Call of Duty)
-Weapons will be available for pick-up located on the maps.
-No DLC (Although HVS has said DLC might be possible for a sequel)
-No Lobbies (Matchmaking like on Halo 3 and Call of Duty)

Now this is the list of highly anticipated answers that Conduit fans are awaiting word on

-Will we need to input Friend Codes to become someone's friend?
-Will we only be able to talk with friends using Wii Speak?
-What are all of the modes?
-Will there be challenges, a ranking system, unlockables, etc?

NOTE: Sega has announced that information on Wi-Fi multiplayer will be fully released in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.
